Travelling between Brisbane and Cairns twice a week, the Tilt Train is a comfortable and convenient way to access the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsundays.
Watch the tropical scenery whiz by as you recline in your business class seat. For a different kind of entertainment, switch on your personal entertainment system and choose from 12 channels of movies and music. Each seat also features a personal power point for your laptop, computer game or simply recharging your digital camera.
When hunger bites, you'll find you're well catered for on the Tilt Train to Cairns. The club car is well stocked with a variety of snacks, while the in-seat dining service can bring tasty meals directly to you.
Dining
Galley Car: The galley provides quality takeaway meals, hot and cold snacks and a liquor service. Newspapers and magazines are also available for purchase.
Trolley Service: A trolley service operates to each seat for light refreshments, confectionery and drinks.
Drinking Fountains: Drinking fountains provided at the leading end of most cars.

Additional Information
Children: Infants under 4 years who sit on an adult's lap and do not occupy a seat, travel for free. A maximum of one Infant may share a seat with a person 4 years and over free of charge. Should the infant occupy a seat, the applicable child fare is to be charged. A child aged 11 years or under will not be permitted to travel unaccompanied on Traveltrain services. They must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (at least 16 years of age) responsible for the care of the child.
Motor Vehicles:Travel Online does not provide quotes for vehicle transport. Passengers taking a vehicle will need to contact Queensland Rail directly for fares and availability.
Ticketing and payment: for travel more than 60 days from date of booking, full payment is required within 30 days of booking. For travel less than 60 days but greater than 7 days from date of booking, payment deadline calculated by halving the number of days from date of travel. For travel less than 7 days from the date of booking, full payment is required within 24 hours
Cancellations and amendments: the following schedule of fees (per person and/ or per vehicle) will be levied in respect of cancellation of normal fares:
Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total fare
After the departure date/time: No refund
Travel insurance: is highly recommended.
Luggage: Two items are permitted per passenger (not exceeding 20kg in weight and 180 lineal cm in size), plus one piece of hand luggage - all clearly marked with your name and address (conditions apply). Guests should only take on the train with them what they require for their journey. Valuable items such as passports, medicines, laptop computers, cameras, jewellery and fragile or perishable items must be carried onboard as cabin baggage
