Travelling between Brisbane and Cairns three times a week, the Tilt Train is a comfortable and convenient way to access the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsundays.

  • Children: Child fares are available to children aged 4 - 15 years inclusive or where an under-aged child occupies a seat or berth.
  • Ticketing and payment: for travel more than 60 days from date of booking, full payment is required within 30 days of booking. For travel less than 60 days but greater than 7 days from date of booking, payment deadline calculated by halving the number of days from date of travel. For travel less than 7 days from the date of booking, full payment is required within 24 hours
  • Cancellations and amendments: the following schedule of fees (per person and/ or per vehicle) will be levied in respect of cancellation of normal fares:
    • Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total fare
    • After the departure date/time: No refund
  • Travel insurance: is highly recommended.
  • Luggage: Two items are permitted per passenger (not exceeding 25kg in weight and 180 lineal cm in size), plus one piece of hand luggage - all clearly marked with your name and address (conditions apply). Guests should only take on the train with them what they require for their journey.
