Travelling between Brisbane and Rockhampton twice a week, the Tilt Train is a comfortable and convenient way to access the beauty of the southern and central Queensland coast.
Watch the beautiful scenery whiz by as you recline in your business class seat. For a different kind of entertainment, switch on your personal entertainment system and choose from 12 channels of movies and music. Each seat also features a personal power point for your laptop, computer game or simply recharging your digital camera.
When hunger bites, you'll find you're well catered for on the Tilt Train to Rockhampton. The club car is well stocked with a variety of snacks, while the in-seat dining service can bring tasty meals directly to you.
Scheduled maintenance will be under taken on some Tilt Train services until 3rd September 2017. During this period a Traditional Diesel replacement train will operate on the affected services and additional travel time will be experienced. Your consultant will inform you at time of booking if you are scheduled to travel on the Traditional Diesel replacement train.
Galley Car: The galley provides quality takeaway meals, hot and cold snacks and a liquor service. Newspapers and magazines are also available for purchase.
Trolley Service: A trolley service operates to each seat for light refreshments, confectionery and drinks.
Drinking Fountains: Drinking fountains provided at the leading end of most cars.

** Due to planned maintenance a Traditional Diesel Train will replace the Tilt Train services on these days. Seating capacity and plans different on these services. Customers with mobility impairments are required to walk to their seats and use toilet facilities independently, or be accompanied by a friend. Customers travelling with their own wheelchair on board will need to travel on the Tilt Train Services, which have accessible spaces available.
Children: Infants under 4 years who sit on an adult's lap and do not occupy a seat, travel for free. A maximum of one Infant may share a seat with a person 4 years and over free of charge. Should the infant occupy a seat, the applicable child fare is to be charged. A child aged 11 years or under will not be permitted to travel unaccompanied on Traveltrain services. They must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (at least 16 years of age) responsible for the care of the child.
Motor Vehicles:Travel Online does not provide quotes for vehicle transport. Passengers taking a vehicle will need to contact Queensland Rail directly for fares and availability.
Ticketing and payment: for travel more than 60 days from date of booking, full payment is required within 30 days of booking. For travel less than 60 days but greater than 7 days from date of booking, payment deadline calculated by halving the number of days from date of travel. For travel less than 7 days from the date of booking, full payment is required within 24 hours
Cancellations and amendments: the following schedule of fees (per person and/ or per vehicle) will be levied in respect of cancellation of normal fares:
Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total fare
After the departure date/time: No refund
Travel insurance: is highly recommended.
Economy Seats: One checked item (not exceeding 20kg in weight and 180 linear cm in size) and one carry on item per person.
Business Seats: Two checked items (not exceeding 20kg in weight and 180 linear cm in size) and one carry on item per person OR one checked item (not exceeding 20kg in weight and 180 linear cm in size) and two carry on items per person OR three carry on items per person.
Excess Luggage: Subject to availability and provided items meet the weight and size restrictions, excess luggage charges of $15.00 per item may apply.
Carry On Items: Must be able to fit under the seat or in the overhead luggage racks. Items must not be larger than 23cm x 34cm x 48cm per item. Larger items should be stored in the luggage racks at the end of the carriage. Carry on items must be placed under a seat, in a sleeping berth or in luggage racks overhead or at the end of the carriage.
